What do qualities mean?
Our Pine Edge Glued Panels are produced with double-sided surfaces. This means that two separate faces are joined together. For example, the term ‘AA’ indicates that an A-grade panel is used for both the front and back faces.
AA EDGE GLUED PANEL
There may be a very small number of indications that could be considered defects on the surfaces. The grain is straight.
AB EDGE GLUED PANEL
A SURFACE: There may be a very small number of indications that could be considered defects on the surfaces. The grain is mixed.
B SURFACE: There may be a very small number of knots and figure on the surface, and a very small amount of resin pockets may be present.
BB EDGE GLUED PANEL
The surface contains a large number of tight knots and figure, with no resin pockets.
BC EDGE GLUED PANEL
B SURFACE: The surface contains a large number of tight knots and figure, with a small number of resin pockets.
C SURFACE: In addition to the B grade, the surface contains a large number of black knots, pith, and resin pockets.
CC EDGE GLUED PANEL
In addition to the B grade, the surface contains a large number of black knots, pith, and resin pockets.
NOTE: No solid panel grade contains bark surface. There are no dead knots, holes, or discoloration.
